Position Overview
The Assistant Vice President – Compliance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization’s adherence to regulatory requirements established by the RBI and other governing bodies. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), this role safeguards business success through proactive monitoring, implementation, and advisory on compliance matters across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
• Stay updated with regulatory requirements issued by the RBI and other relevant authorities.
• Conduct continuous checks on changes in laws, regulations, guidelines, notifications, and circulars.
• Ensure timely dissemination of regulatory updates to relevant departments.
• Implement RBI regulations and guidelines across the organization.
• Coordinate and facilitate RBI inspections and audits, ensuring timely submission of documents and responses.
• Draft loan agreements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other regulatory documents as required.
• Advise and support other departments on regulatory matters to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor implementation of regulatory requirements to align business operations with prescribed directions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen compliance culture and risk management practices.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and reporting standards to support audit readiness and transparency.
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Education: Graduation or its equivalent is mandatory; CS, CMA, CA professionals preferred.
• Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably within NBFCs.
• Leadership: Reports to the CCO and provides guidance to associates, senior associates, and managers within the compliance hierarchy.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of RBI guidelines and regulations; proficiency in MS Office.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, team management, and effective communication skills.
