About the Role

Role Overview:
As a Vice President of Financial Controllership at Apex Group, you will be joining a fast-growing financial services organization and be a part of a pilot project aimed at creating a high performing team. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse, agile, and global finance and management teams, gaining visibility within a large organization on an upward trajectory. Your role will involve being responsible for month-end related activities such as billing & cash collection, revenue ownership, accounts receivable & payable, accrued income, month-end close, statutory & regulatory reporting, variance analysis, and stakeholder management, including various business heads, CFO, regulators, and auditors. Additionally, you will assist and support business heads with business-specific requirements, conduct deep dive analysis, business review, revenue analysis, sales pipeline review, and more. As part of this pilot project, you will also contribute to creating a robust framework to stabilize and expand the team in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Responsible for month-end activities including billing & cash collection, revenue ownership, accounts receivable & payable, accrued income, month-end close, statutory & regulatory reporting, variance analysis, and stakeholder management

  • • Assist and support business heads with business-specific requirements, conduct deep dive analysis, business review, revenue analysis, sales pipeline review, and more

  • • Prepare various trackers, create a robust team culture, work towards automation and system transformation, enhance processes for better control and analytics

  • • Stakeholder management including regular connect with stakeholders, answering adhocs, deep dive analysis on numbers

  • • Decision making, attention to detail, customer-centricity, good communication, stakeholder management, time management, ability to work under pressure, data analytics and visualization skills
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Minimum of 5-20 years of Controllership & Business Partnering experience (depending on the position)

  • • Knowledge of billing and cash collection required for specific functional roles

  • • CA/CFA/MBA is an added advantage

  • • Knowledge of accounting principles, statutory and regulatory reporting

  • • Proficiency in Microsoft package (Word/Excel/Power Point), Power BI knowledge is an added advantage

  • • Knowledge of Workday/Adaptive Planning preferred

  • • Project management skills, self-starter, ability to multitask, good team player

  • • Accountability, end-to-end ownership of tasks, decision-making capability, attention to detail

  • • Customer-centricity, strong time management, ability to work under pressure, data analytics and visualization skills
