About the Role

As a Vice President, Accounting Manager at BNY, you will be a part of the GFCOE Intercompany Close and Consolidation team based in Chennai, TN - HYBRID. Your role will involve managing the Intercompany Center of Excellence process, including Intercompany setup, IC Billing, settlements, and addressing stakeholder queries on a daily basis. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling:

  • • Responsible for managing the Intercompany Center of Excellence process covering Intercompany setup, IC Billing and settlements, and addressing queries from stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

  • • Maintain and update Service Level Description.

  • • Delegate tasks to team members.

  • • Conduct training of team members to maximize their potential.

  • • Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.

  • • Conduct performance reviews for the team.

  • • Monitor performance KPIs and quality/timeliness of all IC and close activities.

  • • Identify process enhancements to strengthen the control environment and improve operational efficiency.

  • • Prepare, analyze, and clear Daily Intercompany breaks by liaising with global teams.

  • • Support the monthly/quarterly close process monitor Day 3 P/L and Day 4 Balance sheet entries and submit reports to senior management.

  • • Prepare various reporting metrics Monthly Dashboards, KPI metrics trend, etc.

  • • Lead projects undertaken within the Intercompany Close and Consolidation group.
  • Qualifications required for this role include:

  • • M.Com/MBA/CWA-Inter/CA-Inter with 12 years of post-qualification experience or CA, CPA, or CWA with 10 years of post-qualification experience.

  • • 12 years of experience in General Accounting / Intercompany Accounting.

  • • Strong problem-solving skills and good written and verbal communication skills.

  • • Good understanding and working experience in accounting processes, procedures, internal controls, and audit.

  • • Ability to independently lead a project/initiative for the team.

  • • Experience conducting quarterly performance reviews.
