About the Role

In this role as a UX Design Lead at JP Morgan Chase, you will play a crucial part in transforming product development within the financial management tools sector, ensuring they are designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices. You will be a core member of the Payments Operations team, collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering to incorporate emerging technologies like blockchain, data science, machine learning, and cyber-security into the innovative products created for institutional banking.

Key Responsibilities: - Manage delivery across multiple concurrent projects efficiently, providing transparent status updates to leadership - Contribute to design solutions within common technology platform guidelines and brand standards - Engage in upfront user research and usability testing, guided by Experience Researchers, to understand user needs and behaviors

  • • Present work to various business stakeholders and the wider product and technology organization, honing communication skills

  • • Design wireframes, visuals, and prototypes at different fidelity levels, leading workshops and design sessions

  • • Measure the value of your work through user validation and success criteria identification throughout the design process

  • • Plan and facilitate ideation and alignment workshops with project stakeholders, leveraging design thinking expertise

  • • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Sponsors, Strategists, Developers, and the design team to create end-to-end product experiences

  • • Work with the Design System to contribute patterns and refine the Visual Design Language

  • • Develop next-generation experiences through Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Data Visualization
  • Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant design discipline or equivalent work experience

  • • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

  • • Ability to lead design teams and collaborate cross-functionally

  • • Expertise in Interaction Design and proficiency in Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture

  • • Strong facilitation skills for running design-led workshops

  • • Prior experience in designing applications within complex business domains is preferred

  • • Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices

  • • Comfortable with planning design work in cross-functional contexts

  • • Understanding of technical constraints and opportunities to inform design solutions
