Role Overview:
As an Engineering Lead Analyst at Citigroup, your main responsibility will be to lead various engineering activities, which include the design, acquisition, and deployment of hardware, software, and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. Your objective will be to ensure that quality standards are met within the existing and planned framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders• Provide direction for all firm-mandated controls and compliance initiatives• Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements• Recommend product customization for system integration• Identify problem causality, business impact, and root causes• Advise or mentor junior team members• Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, or facilitating servicesNetwork Design & Implementation:
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures• Plan, configure, and deploy network hardware from various vendors• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentationTroubleshooting & Support:
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues• Provide expert-level support for all network-related problems• Participate in after-hours support for network change activitiesNetwork Security:
• Implement and manage network security measures• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practicesAutomation & Scripting:
• Identify opportunities for network automation• Develop and implement scripts for network configurationCollaboration & Mentorship:
• Work closely with other infrastructure teams• Participate in project planning and provide technical expertiseQualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field• 5+ years of experience in network engineering• Strong proficiency in routing protocols, switching technologies, and VPN technologies• Solid understanding of network security principles• Familiarity with network virtualization technologies• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
• Relevant industry certifications• Experience with cloud networking• Proficiency in scripting and automation• Experience with load balancers• Knowledge of VoIP and QoS implementation• Experience in a regulated industryKey Skills:
