About the Role

As the President of Engineering Plastic Polymer Trading, you will play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction, enhancing P&L performance, and driving the exponential growth of the polymer trading business. Your responsibilities will include leading global sales and sourcing strategies, managing high-volume market risks, expanding supplier networks, and optimizing logistics for specialized and engineering plastics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Define and execute business strategies to drive growth, taking full ownership of P&L, budgeting, and profitability.

  • • Provide sales forecasts, market insights, and performance reports to management.

  • • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking forums to build brand presence.

  • • Build strategic partnerships with global suppliers and key customers, negotiating contracts while managing market risk and inventory levels.

  • • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients and suppliers to ensure cost-effective deals.

  • • Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams while ensuring efficient logistics and procurement operations.

  • • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company's presence in polymer trading.

  • • Proactively identify new market opportunities and expand the client base to drive revenue.

  • • Meet and exceed sales targets, demonstrating a strong ability to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.

  • • Monitor commodity trends (PP, PE, PVC), pricing fluctuations, and competitor activities to optimize sales strategies and manage risk while overseeing logistical efficiency.

  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • • Engineer with 10-20+ years in polymer trading or distribution, with proven executive leadership.

  • • Strong knowledge of engineering/commodity polymers and market dynamics.

  • • Strong negotiation, analytical ability, strategic thinking, and the capability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

  • • In-depth knowledge of the polymer industry and supply chains.

  • • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and ERP systems.
