Job Purpose
The Head of Sales . Marketing will be responsible for driving business growth, market penetration, and brand recognition for our premium UK-engineered garage equipment across India. This leadership role involves designing and executing strategic sales plans, establishing a robust distributor network, managing key accounts (OEMs, major workshop chains, and tier-1 service centres), and leading a high-performing sales and marketing team.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between UK corporate strategies and local Indian market dynamics to position the company as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership . Business Growth

  • • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with global UK business objectives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and market segments.

  • • Manage the annual sales and marketing budget, ensuring optimal ROI on all campaigns and initiatives.
  • 2. Sales . Channel Management

  • Dealer/Distributor Network: Identify, onboard, and manage a robust network of pan-India distributors and dealers specializing in automotive workshop equipment.

  • OEM . Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with automobile OEMs (passenger and commercial vehicles), corporate workshop chains, and public sector transport undertakings.

  • *Pipeline Management: Oversee the entire sales funnel from lead generation to technical consultation, negotiation, closing, and post-sales equipment installation support.
    3. Marketing . Brand Positioning**

  • Brand Localization: Adapt UK marketing collateral, product positioning, and messaging to effectively resonate with the Indian automotive aftermarket.

  • Lead Generation: Deploy targeted B2B marketing campaigns, digital marketing, and industry-specific expos/trade shows (e.g., Auto Expo, ACMA events) to generate high-quality leads.

  • *Product Launches: Lead the successful introduction of new UK-designed garage technologies into the Indian market, ensuring proper sales enablement and technical training.
    4. Team Leadership . Collaboration**

  • • Recruit, mentor, and manage a pan-India team of regional sales managers, marketing executives, and application engineers.

  • • Collaborate closely with the UK-based product management and technical teams to ensure seamless product customization, compliance with Indian standards, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Electrical Engineering. An MBA in Sales . Marketing from a reputable institution is highly preferred.

  • Experience: 12–15. years of experience in B2B industrial sales, with a mandatory minimum of 5–7 years in the Garage Equipment or Automotive Aftermarket Industrial Tool sector.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in scaling a business, managing multi-million INR portfolios, and handling premium/imported equipment brands.

  • *Network: An existing, strong network with automobile OEMs, dealership service heads, and major garage equipment distributors across India.
    Key Skills . Competencies**

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of workshop workflows, garage machinery compliance, and technical specifications (e.g., wheel alignment tech, lifting equipment safety standards).

  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with UK stakeholders and local Indian clients.

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong skills in pricing strategies, contract negotiation, profit margin management, and credit control.

  • *Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across India and occasionally to the UK headquarters.

    Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
