About the Role

Job Requirements Position Summary . Responsibilities
Strategic OHS Planning . Execution


  • • Develop and implement long-term and annual OHS strategic plans aligned with Titan’s overarching business and sustainability objectives.

  • • Formulate, implement, and maintain comprehensive OHS policies, procedures, standards, and the organizational OHS Manual across all business divisions (Watches, Jewellery, EyeCare, Taneira, Emerging Businesses).

  • • Seamlessly integrate OHS best practices across manufacturing plants, ISCM, retail store networks, and corporate offices across India and international business operations.

  • Risk Management . Incident Investigation


  • • Prepare, conduct, and oversee enterprise qualitative and quantitative risk assessments across all operational touchpoints.

  • • Establish protocols to review and validate OHS risk assessments and safety plans submitted by contractors, vendors, and business associates.

  • • Lead end-to-end root-cause investigations for incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases; implement proactive preventive and corrective action plans (CAPA).

  • Operational Safety . Governance across Value Chains


  • • Drive safety governance across 11 manufacturing facilities, 5.3 mn. sq. ft. of retail footprint, vendor ecosystems, and contractor operations.

  • • Oversee health and safety management across third-party networks, retail store expansions, and project sites.

  • • Track, analyze, and report OHS performance indicators, safety metrics, and statistics to executive management and the Sustainability Committee.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration . Stakeholder Management


  • • Partner closely with Unit Heads, Regional Business Heads (RBHs), Retail Heads, and OHS Champions to embed safety into daily operations.

  • • Provide expert guidance, policy frameworks, and functional OHS support to Titan’s subsidiaries (TEAL, CaratLane, TCTL, International operations).

  • • Build strong collaborative relationships with external regulatory bodies, safety auditors, and industry forums.

  • People Leadership . Safety Culture


  • • Mentor, inspire, and build capabilities within a team of 20–25 ISCM and Regional Safety Officers.

  • • Design and roll out functional OHS training programs and safety awareness campaigns across multi-generational and diverse employee bases.

  • 3. THE PERSON Job Specifications / Qualifications

    Education:


  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mandatory).

  • • Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety (Preferred).

  • • Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Preferred).

  • • Professional Safety Certification (NEBOSH or equivalent) (Mandatory).

  • Experience:


  • • Minimum 15. years of relevant post-qualification experience in leading Safety . Occupational Health functions within large-scale Retail and Manufacturing sectors.

  • • Demonstrated track record of leading OHS strategy for complex multi-locational operations, supply chains, and extensive retail footprints.

  • • Proven experience in OHS standard implementation (ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001. and thorough familiarity with Indian and global OHS codes and statutory regulations.

  • • Willingness to travel extensively across regional offices, manufacturing plants, and retail locations.
