About the Role

As the Head of Accounts, Finance, and Taxation in a Chemical Manufacturing industry, your role involves managing overall plant accounting, financial reporting, costing, inventory, and taxation. You are expected to possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Handling plant accounts and day-to-day accounting activities

• Preparation and finalization of Balance Sheet, P&L, and financial statements

• Managing cost accounting, product costing, variance analysis, and cost controls

• Overseeing inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliation, and physical verification

• Preparation of MIS, budgets, and financial analysis for plant operations

In terms of Taxation & Statutory Compliance, you will be responsible for:

• Managing Direct Taxation including Income Tax computation and return filing

• Handling TDS compliances applicable to the manufacturing sector

• Managing Indirect Taxation including GST compliances, return filing, and reconciliation

• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements under Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws

Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating with auditors and supporting audits related to GST, Income Tax, and Cost Audit.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Strong exposure to manufacturing / plant accounting

• In-depth knowledge of Direct & Indirect Taxation

• Hands-on experience in Income Tax return filing and TDS compliances

• Excellent knowledge of GST and procedures

• Experience in costing and inventory management

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel

• Strong analytical, compliance, and communication skills

This position is based in Nariman Point, Mumbai, and requires on-site presence.
