About the Role

Role Overview:
You will be part of the Corporate Finance team at Nomura, responsible for performing global finance operations including trading and product control, financial reporting, risk management, and financial strategy development. As an Assistant Manager / Manager / AVP, your role will involve providing independent Quality Assurance services to improve risk environments and strengthen controls globally within and outside the Finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Investment Banking operations

  • • Utilize expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements

  • • Conduct control testing, risk assessment, and monitoring of control effectiveness

  • • Drive process improvements through quality assurance activities

  • • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial processes and reporting

  • • Utilize advanced Excel skills, financial control systems, and reporting tools

  • • Demonstrate knowledge of global banking regulations and IT controls

  • • Implement automation tools like RPA and data visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI

  • • Possess basic to advanced programming skills with at least one programming language

  • • Exhibit leadership behaviors including exploring insights & vision, making strategic decisions, inspiring entrepreneurship in people, and elevating organizational capacity

  • • Promote inclusion, respect diverse perspectives, and foster a risk culture
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • CA / CFA / MBA (from reputed institute) with relevant financial markets experience

  • • Previous experience in Big 4 or top-tier banks is preferred
