About the Role

Role Overview: Join the Sales team at Spotify and be a part of shaping creative solutions for millions of users worldwide. As the Director of Sales, you will lead the sales efforts in existing markets and drive business growth in India. Your role will involve managing sales verticals like Media and Financial Services, leading a team of Client Partners, and contributing to defining the sales strategy in collaboration with the Region's Head of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:

  • • Define and drive the sales strategy across Media and Finance brand verticals in the India market

  • • Lead and manage a team of Client Partners focused on key accounts in India

  • • Collaborate with regional teams to generate demand, convert sales revenue, and sustain client relationships

  • • Develop and grow a dedicated book of business while exploring new client and industry relationships

  • • Represent Spotify at industry events in India and maintain high levels of communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • • Manage pipeline, revenue forecasts, and sales activities efficiently using Salesforce

  • • Exceed quarterly revenue expectations and lead a high-performance sales team
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Minimum 12+ years of digital advertising/marketing sales experience with at least 5+ years in management

  • • Proven track record in building ads businesses, developing markets, and crafting vertical narratives

  • • Strong relationships with agency and brand decision makers in India, with regional connections as an advantage

  • • Experience in data-driven team management and delivering on multiple priorities with attention to detail

  • • Analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically and creatively

  • • Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills

  • • Passion for the future of Audio in advertising media mix and external speaking experience
