About the Role

As the Chief Operating Officer at GKM, reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and execution for the organization. This position goes beyond operational responsibilities and focuses on creating value by driving revenue, establishing scalable systems, and nurturing the next generation of leadership within a 200-member organization.

Key Responsibilities: - Scale revenue across existing service lines (U.S. Tax, Accounting, and Bookkeeping) by enhancing client engagement and operational efficiency - Drive upselling and wallet share expansion within GKM's current client base - Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to facilitate new client acquisition and maintain a competitive edge

  • • Lead the development and commercialization of high-value new service offerings such as Audit Support, IPO Readiness, Fractional Controllership, and Business Advisory Services

  • • Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery

  • • Identify and implement initiatives to improve margins through process optimization and resource utilization

  • • Leverage technology for enhanced service delivery by implementing automation, RPA, AI, and workflow tools

  • • Build a scalable operating infrastructure to support growth while maintaining delivery standards

  • • Mentor and inspire the organization through a performance-driven culture

  • • Develop the next layer of leadership within the organization to own service lines independently

  • • Cultivate a client-centric and accountable culture aligned with GKM's values and growth objectives
  • Qualifications Required: - 10 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years at a Senior Manager, Director, or higher level

  • • Experience in a professional services outsourcing firm, Global Capability Centre (GCC), or offshore delivery organization serving U.S. clients

  • • Familiarity with U.S. Tax, Accounting, or related financial services is advantageous

  • • Demonstrated track record of upselling, expanding client relationships, and acquiring new clients in a B2B services environment

  • • Proficiency in operational disciplines such as KPI design, SLA governance, process optimization, and margin management

  • • Hands-on experience with automation, RPA, AI, or workflow technologies to enhance service delivery

  • • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to build and scale high-performance teams and engage stakeholders effectively
