About the Role

As a Regulatory Adherence Specialist at DBS Bank, your role is crucial in ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations within the Operations team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Performing independent assessments of adherence to existing regulations

  • • Monitoring and analyzing new and amended regulations issued by financial regulators and relevant authorities

  • • Disseminating new regulations to department heads for assessment

  • • Collaborating with Operations teams to assess regulatory impact and perform gap analysis

  • • Working on process enhancements, fixes, and SOP document updates

  • • Tracking implementation of tech solutions as per regulatory requirements

  • • Incorporating key regulatory risks into Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)

  • • Promoting a strong regulatory compliance culture through various communication channels
  • To excel in this role, you should have:

  • • Minimum 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance or regulatory audit, with 3-5 years specifically in this field

  • • Strong knowledge of banking operations in Institutional or Consumer Banking, with 5-7 years of experience in Ops

  • • In-depth understanding of banking regulations, especially those issued by local regulatory bodies

  • • Previous experience in reviewing and monitoring regulations, regulatory returns, and handling regulatory audits in banks or audit firms
  • Preferred qualifications include:

  • • Chartered Accountant certification
  • Additionally, you should possess:

  • • Good computer skills

  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • • Interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • This position is based in Mumbai, India, and falls under the Risk Management department. It is a full-time role with a regular schedule.
