About the Role

As the Vice President of Operations & Process Innovation at a 32-year-old healthcare billing and medical records company with employees in the US, Peru, and India, you will play a crucial role in leading the operational aspects of the business. Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of day-to-day operations and ensure smooth functioning across all locations. You will drive process design, make technology decisions, coordinate teams across different countries, and focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: - Fully own day-to-day operations in the US, Peru, and India - Be directly accountable for operational performance, quality, and throughput - Analyze, redesign, standardize, implement, and measure workflows

• Transition the organization from inconsistent practices to repeatable, scalable processes

• Systematize institutional knowledge from experienced staff

• Determine the deployment of tools, technology, automation, and AI in operations

• Collaborate with the Solutions Architect/CTO on system design and operational requirements

• Manage the operational aspects of the company's ERP platform

• Develop operational processes for new products and client engagements

• Assess team structure, roles, capacity, and implement necessary changes
What this role is not: - Consulting engagement
• Support role for CEO's operations management

• Solely focused on process documentation

• Purely a tech role

• Dependent on prior healthcare billing industry knowledge
Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience leading operations in a mid-size company
• Proven track record in analyzing and redesigning complex workflows

• Strong process and technology mindset

• Experience with automation, AI, or digital transformation

• Ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures, and functions

• Ownership mentality and excellent communication skills

• Full-time availability
In your first 90 days, you will immerse yourself in operations across all locations, map current workflows, identify pain points, present an operational assessment to the CEO, design future-state workflows, implement improvement initiatives, and establish a transformation roadmap for the next 6 months.
How success will be measured: - Operations running smoothly without CEO intervention
• Documented, standardized, and followed core workflows

• Reduction in manual effort, errors, or cycle time

• Operations team viewing you as their leader

• Deployment of at least one significant automation or AI initiative
