About the Role

Role Overview:
As the Vice President, Group Capital Planning within Global Treasury GSC's located in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in the capital management processes post-crisis, especially with the implementation of Basel III. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in capital planning, optimization, and performance as an integral part of Finance Processes. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination, providing review and challenge, and identifying opportunities for improvement in capital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Assist in producing detailed capital plans under ongoing forecasting, Financial Resource Planning, and Stress Testing, and effectively communicate the results.

  • • Collaborate with Group and Regional Capital Management teams to identify efficiency initiatives, investigate feasibility, and support implementation.

  • • Model capital efficiency initiatives and scenarios to identify the optimal allocation of capital within business and regulatory constraints.

  • • Review and challenge local capital plans, assess and articulate risks to capital.

  • • Work with the wider Capital Management team to ensure plans reflect impacts of capital initiatives and regulatory changes, and identify further opportunities.

  • • Enhance and integrate planning and stress testing processes, shifting towards more efficient tools and flexible modeling of the Group capital position.

  • • Ensure high-quality outputs that reflect accepted regulatory policy and standards.
  • Qualification Required:

  • • Experience in finance/treasury/risk background with knowledge of accounting, capital requirements, and market risk.

  • • Highly numerate with a strong background in mathematical disciplines.

  • • Understanding of banking products and how they relate to capital requirements.

  • • Knowledge of software development and ideally some experience in coding.

  • • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience of presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • • Ability to work with, coordinate, and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

  • • Good understanding of and ability to proactively manage risks.

  • • Appetite to seek opportunities and work beyond the immediate boundaries of the role.
