About the Role

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the organization, your role involves overseeing the complete operational management, excluding Production and Finance. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning across Sales, Marketing, HR, Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, and Customer Operations. Your key responsibilities include translating the business vision into clear operational plans, KPIs, and execution frameworks. Additionally, you will drive operational discipline, accountability, and speed across all functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Lead national and/or regional sales strategy, channel expansion, and revenue growth

  • • Build scalable sales structures across General Trade, Modern Trade, Institutional, Export, and Digital (if applicable)

  • • Oversee brand strategy, marketing, demand generation, and go-to-market execution

  • • Drive pricing strategy, promotions, distributor management, and customer acquisition initiatives
  • In terms of strategy and growth, you will work closely with promoters and consultants to understand current beliefs and operating practices, discuss strategic intent, identify gaps and growth blockers, and develop medium- and long-term growth strategies. You will also lead business expansion into new markets, channels, and strategic partnerships.

    Qualifications Required:

  • • 20 years of leadership experience with end-to-end business ownership

  • • Proven experience as COO / Business Head / CEO (Operations-heavy role)

  • • Strong background in sales-led organizations

  • • Deep leadership exposure in large-scale commodity / FMCG staple businesses such as Atta, Maida, Wheat-based products, Edible Oils, Sugar, Rice (including Basmati & branded rice), Spices & Masalas, and Staples-driven distribution businesses
  • Your role will also involve building and leading a strong leadership team across all functions, driving organizational structure, role clarity, performance management, and succession planning. You will establish and reinforce a high-performance, ownership-driven culture and oversee HR policies, hiring strategy, talent development, and retention. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing administration, infrastructure, facilities, and non-financial compliance, as well as leading logistics, warehousing, and distribution efficiency to meet service level expectations while ensuring cost optimization, process standardization, and service excellence across support functions.
