About the Role
As a Chief Operating Officer - Commercial (COO) in our metals and mining business, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial functions and strategic planning to achieve revenue growth and market share expansion. Your expertise in sales, marketing, and customer relationship management within the metals, mining, or heavy manufacturing sectors will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities: - Sales & Marketing Leadership - Develop and execute strategies to enhance market penetration and revenue growth in domestic and international markets. - Lead pricing, tendering, channel strategies, and customer acquisition plans.
- Track competitor activities and market trends for refining go-to-market approaches.
- Ensure consistent delivery of customer value and satisfaction.
- Resolve escalations and maintain high customer retention metrics.
- Lead cross-functional coordination between sales, marketing, logistics, procurement, and finance teams.
- Drive P&L accountability for the commercial function and focus on gross margin improvements.
- Monitor and optimize pricing models and commercial negotiations.
- Develop business development frameworks for exploring new geographies or customer segments.
- Create dashboards for sales forecasts, CRM efficiency, and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to align demand with capacity and delivery schedules.
Candidate Profile: - 18-25 years of commercial leadership experience in metals, mining, manufacturing, or capital-intensive industries.
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA in Sales/Marketing/Strategy or General Management.
