Role Overview :
This Chief Investment Officer role is a unique opportunity to lead the real estate investment strategy for a prominent 2000 Cr. family office based in Bangalore. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the real estate portfolio, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in both listed and unlisted markets. Working closely with the family office's leadership team, you will develop and implement investment strategies that align with the overall financial goals and risk tolerance of the organization, ensuring optimal portfolio performance and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate investment strategy, encompassing both listed and unlisted assets, to maximize returns and achieve the family office's financial objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and conduct due diligence on potential real estate investment opportunities, including direct property acquisitions, joint ventures, and investments in real estate funds.
- Manage the existing real estate portfolio, optimizing asset allocation, and implementing strategies to enhance property value and rental income.
- Conduct rigorous financial analysis and modeling to assess the viability and potential returns of investment opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Present investment recommendations to the family office's leadership team, providing clear and concise analysis and supporting documentation.
- Oversee the negotiation and execution of investment transactions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate developers, brokers, and financial institutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful real estate investment strategies, driving significant portfolio growth and returns.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio management, enabling informed investment decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Deep understanding of real estate markets, investment banking principles, private equity structures, and asset management practices.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of investment professionals.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- 10-20 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, investment banking, private equity, or asset management.
