As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the company. Your role will involve hands-on experience in an ERP setting, focusing on financial accounting, taxation, MIS & reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You should have a proven track record in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. It is essential to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting financial accounting following relevant GAAPs.• Ensuring timely closure of monthly and annual accounts.• Reporting monthly and quarterly financials to stakeholders, including the Board.• Liaising with auditors for timely completion of audits.• Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and monthly financial reports with variance analysis.• Providing various financial reporting views like product-wise or project-wise P&Ls and department-wise reporting.• Presenting financial performance to leadership, the Board, investors, and bankers.• Leading initiatives in cost optimization and productivity improvements.• Ensuring timely compliance with regulatory requirements like Income Tax, TDS, GST, PF, and Secretarial duties.• Responding to demands, notices, and litigation from authorities.• Interacting with compliance consultants on various matters.• Leading the finance team, attracting and retaining top talent, and strengthening finance processes with best practices.• Building internal models for real-time and accurate financial information.• Collaborating closely with Products, Operations, Markets Teams, and external consultants.• Keeping pace with the organization's growth by working across Accounting, Treasury, and Reporting functions.• Developing specialized knowledge of the industry and operational environment.Candidate requirements:
• Chartered Accountant with 12-15 years of post-qualification experience.• Minimum 7 years of experience in a mid-size/large manufacturing company.• Experience leading teams with a minimum size of at least 10 people.• Minimum 5 years of experience in raising funds from large banks.• Experience with dealing with Board and Investors.• Working knowledge of Companies Act and Income Tax Act.• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
