About the Role

As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based in Chennai for a series B funded manufacturing startup, your role will involve strategic finance and growth, financial planning & analysis, fundraising, treasury & capital management, finance operations, compliance & governance, procurement, inventory & operational finance, and mentoring the existing finance function.

Role Overview: As the CFO, you will partner with the CEO and Board to shape the companys capital structure, fundraising strategy, financial risk management, and long-term growth planning. You will lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting while driving business unit performance management aligned with growth targets and key performance indicators. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with the CEO and Board to shape the companys capital structure, fundraising strategy, financial risk management, and long-term growth planning.

  • • Support M&A initiatives, strategic partnerships, market-entry assessments, and the evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities.

  • • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting while driving business unit performance management.

  • • Collaborate with business, operations, and product teams to translate market dynamics into actionable financial insights.

  • • Lead equity and debt fundraising initiatives, including financial models, investor materials, and due diligence processes.

  • • Build and manage relationships with venture capital investors, banks, and financial institutions.

  • • Oversee the finance function to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • • Work closely with procurement and operations teams to strengthen financial oversight of inventory planning and cost optimization.

  • • Provide mentoring and professional guidance to the in-house finance team.
  • Qualifications Required: - Qualified CA with 15 years of PQE

  • • Experience in raising funds

  • • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP), GST, corporate tax regulations, and statutory requirements
