Role Overview:

As an Associate Director, GSF DnA Information Architect, you will be responsible for shaping the data landscape by collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing and managing information systems, and leveraging advanced technologies to enhance data architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize advanced knowledge of information architecture principles to establish and enforce standards across various capability areas such as data collection, ontology creation, data mapping, and taxonomies.• Analyze the data landscape across the enterprise, assess the current state, and design projects to meet goals.• Grow the capabilities of an enterprise data marketplace, including data cataloguing, data discovery, and data governance.• Contribute to a master data management strategy and collaborate with stakeholders to implement information access policies.• Recommend and implement enhancements to the enterprise Data Management architecture and create relevant deliverables and artifacts.• Develop data-driven strategies to optimize business performance and align systems capabilities with strategic goals.• Stay current with Information technology trends and introduce best practices to the company.Qualifications Required:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.• 12+ years of experience in IT disciplines including Data Modeling, Databases, Master Data Management, Business Process Modeling, and 5+ years in Information Architecture.• Proficiency in developing information models, and quality assessments, analyzing, designing, and developing solutions, and familiarity with information architecture frameworks and technology.• Knowledge of data modeling tools and data management platforms, cloud platforms, and data integration tools.• Strong problem-solving skills, leadership skills, coaching, and development abilities.• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI/Data & Analytics functions, experience in Data Product implementation at scale, advanced degree in a related field, and certification in data management or architecture-related credentials.Note: The company, known as Merck & Co., Inc., has been at the forefront of research to deliver innovative health solutions for over a century.
