About the Role

As a Vice President Risk at HSBC Invest Direct Securities (India) Pvt. Ltd (HISL), your role will involve providing risk oversight and support to the country Head of IWPB Risk at HSBC India. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall risk management framework for all lines of businesses, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and HSBCs risk appetite. Your key responsibilities will include identifying, assessing, and monitoring all material risks associated with the entitys activities, leading the design and execution of risk mitigation strategies, and overseeing the risk assessment of new products, services, and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Develop and implement the overall risk management framework for all lines of businesses

  • • Identify, assess, and monitor all material risks associated with entitys activities

  • • Lead the design and execution of risk mitigation strategies

  • • Oversee the risk assessment of new products, services, and business initiatives

  • • Ensure timely and accurate risk reporting to the Board, senior management, and relevant committees

  • • Foster a strong risk culture across the firm

  • • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance

  • • Drive continuous improvement in risk management practices

  • • Manage the product governance cycle for all HISLs products & services

  • • Represent Risk Team at local and regional governance meetings

  • • Help determine trends and provide a forward-looking view of potential risks

    • Qualifications:

  • • University degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline

  • • Relevant professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant, MBA, Financial Risk Manager preferred

  • • Working experience in Retail Broking

  • • Experience in a risk management or control function environment preferred

  • • Strong analysis, decision-making, and risk management skills

  • • Solid communication, negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • • Ability to work independently under tight timelines

  • • Excellent communication skills in English

    • Experience Level: 8+ years of relevant experience
