About the Role

Role Overview:
As a Vice President - Project Manager in the Markets Operations - Valuation & TS - External Reconciliations department, your role will involve partnering with the Reconciliations leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the effectiveness of the Operations organization. You will play a key role in shaping the way Operations function, driving operational oversight, and providing cross-functional leadership. Your responsibilities will include facilitating and enabling various transversal initiatives, coordinating finance, strategic projects, governance meetings, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Track and monitor projects of high importance, ensuring alignment with budget, effort, and deliverables.

  • • Demonstrate expertise in operational domain and various transversal topics.

  • • Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • • Enable data-driven decision-making by delivering regular dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.

  • • Build and maintain an analytics framework to derive actionable insights from operational data.

  • • Provide strategic directions for Reconciliation processes across multiple regions.

  • • Support senior leadership with actionable MIS, Dashboard, and insights on breaks, ageing, and risk exposure.

  • • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.

  • • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria for reconciliation initiatives.

  • • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, resource matrices, and budgets.

  • • Monitor progress against milestones using a recognized methodology.

  • • Act as the single point of contact for business lines, IT, risk, compliance, etc.

  • • Conduct regular governance meetings, produce status reports, and escalate issues when necessary.

  • • Map current reconciliation workflows, identify gaps, and conduct root cause analyses of mismatches.

  • • Design and implement process enhancements, controls, and automation (RPA, data matching engines).

  • • Ensure data lineage, quality standards, and auditability are maintained.

  • • Strengthen controls around reconciliation, exception handling, and escalation protocols.

  • • Assess operational and regulatory risks linked to reconciliation processes.

  • • Coordinate with Risk & Compliance teams to embed controls and meet reporting obligations.

  • • Develop change management plans, training material, and communication strategies for affected teams.

  • • Track and quantify benefits resulting from process improvements.

  • • Collaborate with IT/DevOps to define specifications for system enhancements or new tools.

  • • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support.

  • • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Qualification Required:

  • • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

  • • Proven experience in project management, specifically in the financial services industry.

  • • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from data.

  • • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • • Knowledge of reconciliation processes, risk management, and compliance requirements.

  • • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing automation tools.

  • • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
