About the Role

As a Vice President Operations at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of audits aligned with the bank's standards and objectives. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Support in the development and delivery of audits, covering financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems, and risk management.

  • • Identify operational risks to facilitate the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through comprehensive risk assessments.

  • • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in identifying and mitigating risks in alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • • Communicate key findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers, and directors.

  • • Stay updated on regulatory news, industry trends, and developments to offer timely insights and recommendations for best practices.

    • Qualifications Required:

  • • Strong experience in auditing with a good understanding of products and services in a global banking organization.

  • • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a risk-based mindset.

  • • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with senior stakeholders.

  • • Proficiency in written communication with meticulous attention to detail.

    • Desirable skillsets:

  • • Knowledge of Investment Banking and Corporate Banking products and services.

  • • Proven project management experience and the ability to handle complex tasks under pressure.

  • • Strong analytical skills utilizing Artificial Intelligence and Data analytics.

  • • Experience in leading large project initiatives and audit assignments.

  • • Deep understanding of risk and controls, with a track record of high performance in previous roles.

  • • Familiarity with new and emerging financial products and services, demonstrating a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
