About the Role

Role Overview:
As a Vice President in the Market Risk team at Morgan Stanley, you will be responsible for monitoring market risks using metrics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), Greeks, limits, and scenario analysis tools on a daily basis. You will conduct portfolio analysis, create risk summaries, and present risk updates to senior management. Additionally, you will advise data teams on data management, reporting, analytics, KPIs, and controls. Your role will involve contributing to regulatory initiatives like FRTB, representing Data in regulatory onsite reviews, participating in projects to enhance market risk data infrastructure, and staying informed about market trends and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Monitor market risks using metrics such as VaR, Greeks, limits, and scenario analysis tools

  • • Conduct portfolio analysis and present risk updates to senior management

  • • Advise data teams on data management, reporting, analytics, KPIs, and controls

  • • Contribute to regulatory initiatives like FRTB and represent Data in regulatory onsite reviews

  • • Participate in projects to enhance market risk data infrastructure

  • • Stay informed about market trends, emerging risks, and macro-economic themes
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance is a plus

  • • 15 or more years of market risk experience with proficiency in managing Market Risk

  • • Proven experience managing a medium-sized team
