About the Role

As a Negotiator, Global Contract Services - Vice President with a well-known investment bank in Pune, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • • Experience within the financial industry, with a focus on derivatives master agreements

  • • Strong negotiation and portfolio management skills

  • • Familiarity with collateral arrangements and credit support annexes

  • • Familiarity with industry netting and collateral opinions

  • • Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and jurisdictional nuances, e.g. Initial Margin requirements/Variation Margin requirements under the various regulatory regimes

  • • Ability to support team members in managing negotiations with clients, including sharing know-how on possible approaches, drafting of variations and ability to work closely with Markets lawyers on issues associated with those variations

  • • Ability to assess documentation templates, current processes, systems or approvals and provide workable solutions/alternatives, whether to stakeholders or within the team

  • • Ability to perform execution checks on negotiations completed by other team members, highlighting gaps in approvals obtained/drafting/processes and interaction between systems

  • • Experience managing projects within a clearly defined framework that emphasizes strong commercial management alongside quality and timely legal deliverables

  • • Ability to manage risk and controls effectively for the team, by applying applicable risk frameworks and embedding a positive risk culture

  • • Strong leadership, communication, time management and organizational skills

  • • Strong experience in draft, negotiate and complete all necessary derivative agreements (ISDA CSA, GMRA, GMSLA) etc.
