About the Role

Role Overview:
The role of Vice President - Internal Reporting at Barclays in Chennai involves supporting all aspects of the cost agenda for the Payment In-Business Cost team in Chennai and various Finance stakeholders globally. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential to deliver accurate, timely, well-controlled, and insightful reporting information to key stakeholders within the business and wider Finance community at Barclays International and across the Group. This role offers exposure to various key initiatives such as in-year forecasting, business planning, and strategic program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Acting as a Finance Business Partner covering Payments cost base, delivering cost transparency, planning, stress testing, in-year outlooks, and monthly reporting

  • • Collaborating with the Business to provide insightful analysis, cost finance support, and presentation materials for Senior Stakeholders

  • • Partnering with on and offshore colleagues across functions and departments to identify and resolve issues

  • • Owning Month-end close including Flash consolidation and reporting

  • • Driving reporting and transformational strategic initiatives within the BI Cost and Barclays International

  • • Leading various initiatives including the cost allocation model, reporting simplification, and standardization through coordination with multiple stakeholders

  • • Contributing to outlook preparation and annual budget planning cycle

  • • Managing hierarchy and system approvals like CAP, SAP Static & RDM

  • • Achieving process efficiencies and automating manual processes to improve productivity where possible
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • CA or MBA (Finance) graduates with 10 years experience in the accounting/finance function

  • • Technical competence in financial accounting and control

  • • Experience in Financial Reporting, Control, Planning, and/or Analytics is desirable

  • • Proactive self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude

  • • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

  • • Control mindset with the ability to develop and embed processes within the team Role Overview:
