About the Role

As a Data Modeller at our company, you will work closely with business analysts and data management specialists to translate data requirements into structured representations using data modelling tools. You will have ownership of data design and data models across different areas, participating in data design review workshops to help avoid data risk. This role is at the vice president level, offering you the opportunity to develop your analytical skills in an engaging position.

What you'll do:

  • • Define, maintain, and improve data models

  • • Support data architects with solutions and contribute to data quality investigations

  • • Collaborate with business analysts and data management specialists to translate data requirements

  • • Take ownership for data modelling and data contract creation

  • • Adopt enterprise data model and standards

  • • Identify and mitigate potential data risks
  • The skills you'll need:

  • • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • • At least twelve years of experience in data modelling

  • • Experience in designing and maintaining various data models supporting analytics reporting, regulatory, and operational use cases

  • • Lead modelling for cloud data platforms using AWS technologies

  • • Define modelling standards, metadata, and governance

  • • Experience in using data modelling tools such as ER Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar

  • • Work with SQL, PySpark, and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau

  • • Exposure to event-driven architectures and awareness of banking data regulations

  • • Understanding of data modelling methodologies including 3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault, Key-Value pair, and NoSQL Document Store

  • • Knowledge of industry models such as IFW, Teradata, or BIAN

  • • Understanding of data product management, metadata management, data lineage management, and data definitions
