About the Role

As a Vice President on the Strategic Data Services team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, your role involves collaborating with senior management to drive growth and profitability of the global Third-Party Wealth business. You will manage core data sets, assist with strategic initiatives, steward data to identify sales opportunities, and develop reporting and analysis. Your responsibilities include overseeing vendors, performing day-to-day operations, maintaining sales metrics, and business/market analytics with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Working closely with Engineering and Sales Strategy & Enablement Teams, you will enhance client relationship management infrastructure and streamline processes for the sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Manage a team of Data Stewards to support data management initiatives for global distribution teams

  • • Build and maintain a sales data warehouse to enable a dynamic client 360 view by leveraging internal and external datasets

  • • Maintain accurate trade data for mutual funds, SMAs, alternatives, and ETFs to facilitate reporting and analysis

  • • Govern client hierarchy data at the firm, office, and rep level while stewarding industry data for sales team opportunities

  • • Run data quality controls, reconcile datasets, and update core systems to accurately maintain product data hierarchy

  • • Act as a central point of contact to resolve sales data inquiries and inaccuracies in a timely manner

  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute functionality builds supporting sales reporting priorities and downstream analytics
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • 8+ years of financial services and data management experience, with direct SalesForce data management experience

  • • 3+ years of people management experience

  • • Background in building and maintaining client 360 data models and a centralized data warehouse for an asset manager

  • • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build trust, coach team members, and collaborate effectively internally and externally

  • • Familiarity with data strategy initiatives, data quality, reconciling core data sets, and operations

  • • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills

  • • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, proactively assess dynamic situations, and maintain high standards with attention to detail
