About the Role
Job Summary:
As VP Business Development for our insurance brokerage firm, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion within your assigned region. You will lead the sales’ team to generate and convert new leads, expand our market share, and enhance client relationships. Your role will be pivotal in achieving revenue targets, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve new business generation objectives within the region. Identify opportunities for expansion and market penetration.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team meets and exceeds targets.
·
Client Acquisition: Drive client acquisition initiatives through targeted marketing campaigns, networking events, and strategic partnerships. Build a robust pipeline of prospective clients and increase lead conversion rates.

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Revenue Generation: Work closely with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals. Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and implement corrective measures as needed.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as client servicing, underwriting, and placement to ensure seamless service delivery and optimize cross-selling opportunities.
Qualifications:
·
Graduate BA - Marketing, Finance, or related field. Master's degree
preferred.
· Proven track record of success in business development within the insurance industry.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Sound knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and market dynamics.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to travel as needed.
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in business development or sales roles.
