About the Role

Role Overview:
You will be part of the APAC Project Finance & Infrastructure Credit Risk Team, responsible for managing credit risk for new and existing greenfield and brownfield projects in sectors such as energy, power, transportation, natural resources, and green economy across multiple locations in APAC. Your role will involve risk analysis, due diligence, underwriting, structuring, ad-hoc risk analyses, situation management, and ongoing risk management of project finance exposure in APAC. You will collaborate with various teams including Investment Banking Coverage, Global Corporate Banking, Debt Capital Markets, and Infrastructure Finance and Advisory to meet client needs. As the Vice President, you will report to the Head of Credit Risk for Project Finance & Infra, APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Lead due diligence and underwriting of new deals, including reviewing financial models, feasibility studies, commercial contracts, technical, engineering, and market studies to develop appropriate transaction structures for approvals

  • • Apply project financing experience to develop financing structures with risk mitigations, prepare and review credit risk approval materials, and ensure compliance with credit risk policies

  • • Review deal documentation, negotiate credit clauses, and collaborate with internal and external legal counsels and business stakeholders

  • • Communicate critical credit risk information to internal stakeholders, perform portfolio management activities, identify risks in projects, and conduct periodic credit and portfolio reviews

  • • Contribute to special projects like new product initiatives, policy development, and sector reviews

  • • Assist in training and developing junior talent
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Masters Degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or related field

  • • Extensive project finance experience, preferably in a large financial institution, corporation, or rating agency

  • • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess complex project finance models and structures

  • • Understanding of project finance concepts, accounting, and financial statements

  • • Proven experience in negotiating complex deal documents and knowledge of risk management & credit mitigates in project finance

  • • Experience in structured derivatives for project finance is a plus

  • • Ability to work independently, lead a team, balance risks and opportunities, and influence change

  • • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and capability to convey complex information clearly and organized manner Role Overview:
