About the Role

You are being offered a challenging opportunity as a Business Development Manager / Asso. Director at Fission Labs, a product engineering and digital transformation firm based in Hyderabad. Your role will involve spearheading the revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding the business frontiers. Here is what is expected from you:

  • • Have 8+ years of experience in IT services or technology consulting sales.

  • • Specialize in new client acquisition with a focus on outbound roles for at least 3 years.

  • • Demonstrate a successful track record in closing deals related to custom software, product engineering, data engineering, cloud, or digital transformation services.

  • • Be adept at managing relationships across different geographies such as the US, UK/EU, and handling cycles across various time zones.

  • • Proficient in selling complex Gen AI, agentic AI, and ML programs to startups, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises.
  • To excel in this role, it is advantageous if you:

  • • Have prior experience in a mid-tier IT services firm with a revenue ranging from $25M to $100M.

  • • Possess a well-established network of decision-makers in US technology companies.

  • • Feel comfortable in securing new clients ranging from mid-sized deals to enterprise-level accounts.

  • • Capable of building a client base from scratch and enhancing service offerings.
  • Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Taking charge of end-to-end new business development, starting from initial outreach to finalizing contracts.

  • • Developing and nurturing a robust pipeline of clients from the US and global mid-market technology as well as digital-native companies.

  • • Identifying key buyer personas such as Business Heads and CxOs and establishing connections with them.

  • • Managing the complete sales cycle, including discovery, collaboration with delivery teams, proposal creation, negotiation, and deal closure.

  • • Representing Fission Labs at industry events, conferences, and leveraging your personal network.

  • • Ensuring pipeline accuracy, structured follow-up, and maintaining clean CRM records.

  • • Collaborating with delivery leads to create compelling proposals and ensuring seamless client transitions post deal closure.
  • Please note, this role may not be suitable for you if:

  • • Your expertise lies primarily in growing existing accounts.

  • • You have predominantly worked in SaaS or software product sales, as this position focuses on service sales.

  • • Your success has been primarily attributed to a large-brand firm rather than your personal efforts.

  • • You lack recent experience in independently securing new clients.
