We are seeking to hire an experienced Pavement Engineer for our Aviation design team for Domestic & GID projects. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Technical/Functional Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the disciplined application of pavement design for airport infrastructure. Key responsibilties include
• Structural design of airfield and roadway pavements.
• Preparation of pavement plans, cross-sections, and construction details.
• Writing airfield pavement construction specifications.
• Conducting pavement investigations and interpreting factual data.
• Analyzing geotechnical information for pavement design.
• Taking ownership of work and delivering high-quality technical output.
• Communicating effectively with clients and lead offices.
• Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ensuring all deliverables meet the project brief and quality standards.
• Acting as a project manager to develop and implement opportunity response plans.
• Building internal networks to share best practices and technical knowledge.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and work outside core hours when required.
We welcome applications from qualified professionals currently based overseas who are open to relocating to India. Relocation support may be provided for exceptional candidates having extensive experience in aviation airfield engineering space.
Here's what you'll need
The ideal candidate should possess
• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering (preferred) with specialization in airfield pavement design or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience, including at least 5-7 years in airfield pavement design and project management.
• Proven expertise in pavement design standards, including FAA and other international guidelines.
• Proven project planning and delivery skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering projects.
• Understanding of broader airfield infrastructure, including
• Airfield geometry
• Grading and drainage
• Security systems
• Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL)
• Navigation Aids (NAV-Aids)
• Strong capabilities in managing and producing high-quality technical documentation, including
• Design reports
• Specifications
• Drawings
• Presentation materials
• Ability to contribute to business development, including identifying opportunities and supporting proposal submissions.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to lead meetings, collaborate with clients, and offer solutions to business challenges.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills in pavement design and engineering.
