Role Overview:
As a Principal Engineer - Delivery Manager at HARMAN, you will assume end-to-end ownership of product delivery and product line execution for various Ready Connect product families. Your role will involve anchoring delivery on both hardware and software baselines, driving reuse, quality, and velocity across the assigned portfolio. Additionally, you will establish and scale a cybersecurity-first, CI/CD-driven test automation and pre-compliance lab, accelerating regulatory/OEM approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own delivery for FFRD+BKC across various product families, ensuring release readiness, and conformance to BMS M Gates and PSR thresholds• Co-own hardware and software roadmaps, balance platform strategy with customer-specific demands, and maintain ALM traceability• Direct System, HW, SW, Security, Integration, Validation, and Certification teams to deliver gold-quality BKCs validated on reference FFRDs• Engage key customers to identify engineering requirements, contribute to RFQ proposals, and deliver key POCs and demos to improve customer experience• Lead new customer acquisition, own technical leadership for RFIs/RFQs/CRs, and engage C/Director-level customer stakeholders• Direct & lead the engineering team responsible for both hardware & software components, foster a collaborative work environment, and provide guidance to team members• Embed DevSecOps practices, coordinate ISO 21434/UNECE R155 readiness, and align TARA/CSMS with product releases• Design, commission, and operate a Pre-Compliance Lab for FFRD+BKC, enable multi-fixture benches for testing, and forge partnerships with ecosystem partners• Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, communicate project updates effectively, and identify potential risks to project delivery• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestic and 15% international travel, familiar with software process standards, and ability to work independently and with strong communication skillsQualifications Required:
