About the Role

As the President - Commercial at a premier real estate developer renowned for creating high-end luxury residential and commercial projects in Mumbai, your primary role will be to develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the organizational objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and negotiation

  • • Managing overall materials procurement and other key raw materials

  • • Negotiating with suppliers, contractors, and engineering firms

  • • Awarding and executing contracts

  • • Establishing continuous improvement processes to maximize the value of contracts

  • • Leading Digital Procurement by digitizing the entire procurement process and implementing world-class sourcing & procurement concepts, strategies, methodologies, and tools

  • • Leveraging advanced analytics, automation tools, and AI to transform procurement into a value-creating function

  • • Streamlining processes and systems by reducing procurement time, actively negotiating commercial terms, and identifying cost-effective global vendors and suppliers

  • • Setting clear goals and performance metrics for the procurement team, evaluating performance, and providing constructive feedback

  • • Working closely with teams to provide visible leadership and promote continual improvement in quality, performance, and delivery of company objectives
  • In addition to your role-specific responsibilities, the following competencies are essential for success in this position:

  • • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

  • • Ability to plan, lead, organize, and multi-task several capital projects simultaneously

  • • Proficiency in computer skills, including analytics, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • • Experience with SAP MM module is an added advantage

  • • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data and information

  • • Customer-focused, team-oriented, self-motivated, and results-oriented

  • • System and process-oriented approach

  • • Building and nurturing partner relations with suppliers
