About the Role

As the Head of Sales for the Payroll Vertical at Great Kapital, you have the exciting opportunity to lead the launch of a new division within the company. With a focus on payroll processing, HR services, and HR outsourcing, you will be responsible for building and scaling this vertical with the support of an established client base in sectors such as pharma and offline retail.

Key Responsibilities - Design and implement the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the payroll business, utilizing existing client relationships as a foundation for growth. - Engage directly with key decision-makers such as CHROs, HR Heads, and Finance Leaders to secure new business opportunities.

  • • Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, solutioning, negotiation, and closure, aiming to secure the first 3 anchor clients within 90 days.

  • • Collaborate closely with Operations, Product, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless client delivery.

  • • Establish a structured sales process encompassing CRM management, pipeline tracking, and regular reporting to senior leadership.

  • • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales and account management team as the vertical expands.

  • • Represent Great Kapital Payroll at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility.
  • What We're Looking For

  • • 815 years of B2B sales experience in the payroll processing industry, ideally with a leading company in India.

  • • Demonstrated success in closing long-term contracts with mid-market and enterprise clients.

  • • Strong network of relationships with key stakeholders in the industry that can be leveraged immediately.

  • • In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll compliance regulations and laws.

  • • Entrepreneurial mindset with a preference for candidates with experience in early-stage payroll or HR tech ventures.

  • • Graduate or Post-Graduate qualification from a reputable institution.
  • Location
    The role is based in Bengaluru with occasional travel required.
