About the Role

As the Channel Account Manager at the company, your role will involve partner administration, account renewals, upgrades, customer service, and maintenance escalation activities. You will efficiently coordinate all channel partner support requirements. Your responsibilities will include pitching, qualifying, and closing data center maintenance contract renewals and upgrades using technical selling skills. Additionally, you will offer knowledge to partners and make consultative recommendations to prospects and clients regarding various solutions offered by the company. Throughout the entire solution selling process, you will manage opportunities, leverage sales tools, and resources, and identify decision-makers and influencers to develop relationships within accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Coordinate partner administration, account renewals, upgrades, and maintenance escalation activities

  • • Pitch, qualify, and close data center maintenance contract renewals and upgrades

  • • Make consultative recommendations to prospects and clients

  • • Manage opportunities throughout the solution selling process

  • • Identify decision-makers and influencers within accounts

  • • Develop relationships with personnel at various levels within accounts

  • • Collaborate with the EVP of Sales to develop an annual sales plan

  • • Drive strategic conversations and business initiatives between territory reps and partners

  • • Build, develop, and report on a pipeline of opportunities

  • • Understand the competitive landscape, pricing, and proposal models

  • • Document activities in the CRM program

  • • Stay current with industry changes in technology and company objectives

  • • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes

  • • Participate in training and educational programs

  • • Assess time management effectiveness

  • • Prepare reports, handle quote delivery, and assist with opportunity creation and revisions

  • • Respond to miscellaneous channel partner and customer requests

  • • Establish and maintain positive professional relationships internally and externally
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Ten (10) years of sales experience, including IT-oriented sales

  • • Knowledge of computers, servers, storage, and ability to provide integrated solutions

  • • Prior Territory Sales Representative experience

  • • Bachelor's degree required
