As the Head of Sales in the Payroll Vertical at Great Kapital, your role will be pivotal in leading the sales function for the newly formed division. Here's what will be expected from you:
• Build the sales plan and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the payroll business from scratch, leveraging the existing client network.• Reach out to HR heads, finance leadership, and payroll decision-makers to bring in new business.• Manage the full sales process including finding leads, understanding client needs, negotiating deals, and closing contracts aiming to secure the first 3 clients within 90 days.• Collaborate with operations, product, and compliance teams to ensure seamless delivery of promised services to clients.• Establish a streamlined sales process by maintaining an updated CRM, monitoring the pipeline, and providing regular updates to the leadership.• Lead the recruitment and guidance of the upcoming sales and account management team.• Represent Great Kapital Payroll at HR events and industry meetups to enhance brand visibility.To qualify for this role, you should have:
• 8-15 years of experience in B2B sales within the payroll processing industry with a top-tier company.• Proven track record in carrying and closing deals, particularly with multi-year contracts and companies with 200+ employees.• Possess a strong network of relationships with CHROs, HR Heads, Finance Directors that you can engage within 30 days.• In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll compliance including PF, ESIC, TDS, PT, gratuity, and labor laws.• Experience in early-stage payroll/HR tech ventures will be advantageous.• A degree from a recognized institution.Location: Bangalore with occasional travel required.
