About the Role

Role Overview:
Sovos is looking for a Network Operations Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure that powers their global operations. This position involves strategic leadership in setting the direction for network operations, aligning execution with organizational goals, and building a team for long-term scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Network Operations Supervisors and the overall NOC function

• Define operational standards, policies, and procedures

• Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics

• Oversee incident, problem, and change management practices

• Coordinate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams

• Manage staffing levels, hiring, training plans, and budgets

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and tooling enhancements

• Provide executive-level reporting on network performance and risk

• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred

• 8+ years of experience in network operations, including 4+ years in a management or senior leadership role

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, BGP)

• Experience overseeing network monitoring tools and operational performance metrics

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a 24/7 operational environment

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)

• Experience with incident management processes and tools

• Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) for communication with customers and internal stakeholders
