About the Role

Job Description

You will be leading a Brand management team & launching an exciting in-licensed product & The Most Prestigious Brand for GG-India business.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • • Identify product portfolio gaps, generate new product ideas based on unmet needs, and evaluate their profitability. Make final decisions on new product ideas, categorize products, and assign them to product management teams to ensure a steady product pipeline.

  • • Conduct risk-benefit analysis for new product ideas, discuss merits with the medico-marketing team, and finalize product prioritization in consultation with the vertical head to ensure successful implementation and launch.

  • • Review go-to-market strategies, validate launch plans, and oversee strategy implementation. Ensure successful product launch through detailed planning and corrective action if needed.

  • • Plan sales & budgeting by setting growth goals for the whole team, determining therapeutic area targets, and monitoring market potential to ensure consistent market share growth.

  • • Formulate brand strategies based on market trends and customer behavior, oversee their implementation, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions to ensure effective brand strategies in the market.

  • • Make decisions on customer relationship initiatives, review non-product-based programs, and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Utilize feedback to refine programs and maintain positive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • • Design the future roadmap of the therapy with activities like business development, growth ideas for business, new launches and brand acquisition, identifying co-marketing opportunities, reach strategies (field force expansion) and Geography development etc. Implement various strategic initiatives to strengthen brands/therapy, and collaborate with the strategy team and agencies to strengthen market presence.

  • • Lead and develop the team by setting goals for subordinates, conducting performance appraisals, and providing mentorship. Identify training needs, track team retention rates, and organize team-building activities to ensure high team performance.
  • Qualifications

  • • Education: MBA with a graduate degree in Science stream

  • • Minimum work experience: 15-20 years of experience in Indian Pharmaceutical Industry and experience of launching at least one new product.

  • • In-depth understanding of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • • Understanding of diseases, therapy and relevant therapeutic areas.

  • • Financial management skills to develop and manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize cost control for the product portfolio.

  • • Ability to analyze market data, clinical trial results, and sales performance to inform decision-making and product portfolio strategies.
