About the Role
As the Head of Human Resources (CHRO-Equivalent) at SteelBazaar, your role is crucial in shaping and building the HR function from scratch for India's first AI-powered B2B steel platform. With no legacy HR structure in place, your responsibilities will include talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and strategic people architecture.
Role Overview: You will be leading the end-to-end Human Resources function, focusing on: - Talent Acquisition - Performance Management & HR Systems
Key Responsibilities: 1. Talent Acquisition & Hiring Engine (50%) - Own end-to-end hiring across IT and Non-IT roles
- Build and manage an agency ecosystem
- Drive aggressive hiring targets with defined TATs
- Evaluate AI/ML, LLM, and tech roles independently
- Scale volume hiring for B2B sales & field teams
- Build internal talent pipeline and enhance employer brand
- Implement MPS dual-scoring & OKR framework
- Lead appraisal calibration and performance reviews
- Drive PIP processes and performance discipline
- Introduce AI-led HR automation tools
- Ensure compliance with labour laws
- Handle travel, expense, and admin budgets
- Manage BGV, exit processes, and statutory compliance
- Adhere to PF, ESI, Gratuity, and labour laws
- Manage ESOP framework
- Track and report CEO-level HR metrics
- Strengthen employer brand and employee experience
Candidate Profile: Must-Have: - 15+ years in HR with strong Talent Acquisition leadership
Preferred: - Experience in startup/01 HR build environments
