About the Role

As the Director, Head of Compliance & Ethics in India at our company, you will play a critical role in leading the Compliance & Ethics operations across the country. Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Promoting a culture of integrity and ethical practices throughout the organization

  • • Leading the execution of global and regional compliance programs

  • • Serving as the primary compliance advisor to various functions within the organization

  • • Co-chairing the India Compliance Committee and establishing a similar compliance governance in Hyderabad

  • • Overseeing compliance training, monitoring, analytics, and communication strategies

  • • Leading integrity champion activities

  • • Collaborating with functions such as Investigations, Legal, and HR on investigations and risk assessments

  • • Representing the company in relevant industry associations and forums

  • • Staying updated on local regulatory developments and industry trends

  • • Participating in internal audits, monitoring, and due diligence activities
  • Key Stakeholders you will closely work with include the General Manager of BMS India, members of the Operating Committee, Hyderabad site leadership team, and global C&E leadership/CoE members.

    Qualifications Required for this role:

  • • 12+ years of experience in compliance, legal, and/or internal audit in a highly regulated industry

  • • Bachelor's degree in risk and/or business management

  • • License and/or certification in compliance, law, accounting, risk management, etc. is highly preferred

  • • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred

  • • Strong personal integrity, ethics, and discretion

  • • Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

  • • Strategic-thinking skills with a focus on process improvements and best practices

  • • Prioritization and project management skills with flexibility to handle multiple projects

  • • Excellent written and spoken English

  • • Ability to engage in discussions with senior executive leadership on controversial topics
  • Travel Requirement:
