Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7. years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6. years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Role Overview We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead critical firmware and platform software development for Server CPU and SoC platforms . This role is responsible for building and scaling high‑impact engineering teams that deliver robust, high‑quality firmware across the server stack, enabling reliable, performant, and secure platforms at scale.

The Director will partner closely with
functional leads across firmware domains and geographies to define and execute the mandate for the team in the
Bangalore Development Center (BDC) , while maintaining strong alignment with global architecture, silicon, validation, and platform teams. This is a highly visible leadership role that blends deep technical understanding with organizational excellence.
