About the Role

A highly visible and strategic opportunity with a leading global financial services platform, seeking an experienced professional to lead their Compliance function (Retail Banking focus) from India. This is a Head-level role, based in Delhi, forming part of the global Compliance leadership team with extensive interaction with senior stakeholders and international leadership.

This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a Compliance function for a growing India platform, driving alignment with global compliance strategy while providing effective oversight, governance, and advisory support across the business.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with global Compliance leadership to identify and transition activities into India, establishing Centres of Excellence.

• Leading and scaling the India-based Compliance function aligned to retail banking operations.

• Providing subject matter expertise on retail banking regulations, compliance frameworks, and evolving regulatory expectations.

• Delivering training, guidance, and support to build a strong compliance culture within the team.

• Engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure effective oversight, governance, and challenge across the business.

• Contributing to the development and implementation of target operating models and compliance strategy.

• Supporting the growth and value proposition of the India Compliance hub.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Extensive experience in Compliance / Risk within retail banking or financial services.

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices.

• Proven experience operating at a senior leadership level with global stakeholder exposure.

• Strong people leadership, team building, and performance management capabilities.

• Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

• Exposure to data, technology, and innovation within financial services is advantageous.
