Role Overview :

As the Chief Risk Officer, you will be at the helm of safeguarding our organization's financial health and strategic objectives. This pivotal role involves orchestrating the day-to-day identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of all enterprise-wide risks, including credit, market, operational, compliance, and strategic exposures. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, business unit heads, and regulatory bodies, providing critical insights and strategic guidance to ensure robust risk governance. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to achieve sustainable growth, maintain regulatory compliance, protect our reputation, and ultimately enhance value for our customers and stakeholders by fostering a resilient and risk-aware culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated enterprise-wide risk management framework that aligns with our strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

- Lead the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of all significant risks, providing actionable insights to the Board and executive management for informed decision-making.

- Establish and articulate the organization's risk appetite and limits, ensuring these are effectively communicated and embedded across all business functions.

- Oversee the design and execution of robust risk policies, procedures, and internal controls to effectively manage and mitigate potential exposures.

- Provide expert counsel on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, ensuring proactive adaptation and compliance.

- Cultivate a strong, proactive risk culture throughout the organization through targeted training, communication, and leadership by example.

- Manage and nurture relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, and other external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and adherence to all applicable guidelines.

- Drive continuous improvement in risk management methodologies, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated deep expertise in enterprise risk management, encompassing credit, market, operational, and compliance risks within a complex financial services environment.

- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing risk teams and influencing senior stakeholders.

- Superior analytical acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.

- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating intricate risk concepts to diverse audiences, from technical teams to the Board.

- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field from a premier institution. Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are highly advantageous.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in Mumbai, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving business and regulatory landscapes.
