Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Manufacturing

Max Budget -45 LPA

Industry: Manufacturing – Refractory . Chemical

Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha (Corporate Office)

Reporting To: Board of Directors

1. Role Overview


The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Manufacturing will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership to the Group’s Refractory and Chemical manufacturing businesses.

The CEO will be responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, profitability, and innovation across manufacturing units. This role requires a hands-on, execution-driven leader with strong experience in medium-scale industrial organizations, capable of scaling operations while maintaining efficiency, quality, and compliance.

The incumbent will oversee operations of:


  • Chemical Manufacturing Units

  • – delivering high-quality and innovative chemical products
  • Refractory Manufacturing Units – producing ceramic bricks and industrial refractory solutions
  • 2. Key Responsibilities

    A. Strategic Leadership . Business Growth

  • • Define and execute the vision, mission, and long-term strategy for manufacturing businesses.

  • • Identify new opportunities for market expansion, product diversification, and capacity enhancement.

  • • Drive strategic partnerships, collaborations, and potential acquisitions.

  • • Monitor industry trends, competition, and technology advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • B. Operational Excellence . Manufacturing Leadership

  • • Oversee end-to-end operations across refractory and chemical manufacturing units.

  • • Ensure optimal plant performance, capacity utilization, and productivity improvement.

  • • Implement best practices in manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain management.

  • • Drive lean manufacturing, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • • Lead adoption of technology, automation, and process innovation.

  • • Ensure seamless coordination between production, maintenance, procurement, and logistics functions.
  • C. Financial . Commercial Management

  • • Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across units.

  • • Optimize working capital, inventory management, and cash flows.

  • • Ensure profitability through pricing strategies, cost efficiency, and operational leverage.

  • • Lead engagement with banks, investors, and financial institutions for funding and growth.

  • • Oversee risk management, internal controls, and financial governance.
  • D. Sales, Marketing . Business Development

  • • Develop and implement market expansion and customer acquisition strategies.

  • • Strengthen relationships with key industrial customers and OEMs.

  • • Drive sales growth, order book strengthening, and market penetration.

  • • Identify opportunities for export markets and global business development.

  • • Align product offerings with evolving customer and industry needs.
  • E. People . Organizational Leadership

  • • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team across plants and corporate functions.

  • • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, safety, and innovation.

  • • Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline building.

  • • Ensure strong employee engagement, especially across plant locations.
  • F. Governance, Compliance . EHS

  • • Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing industries.

  • • Implement robust EHS (Environment, Health . Safety) standards across all units.

  • • Strengthen corporate governance, internal controls, and ethical practices.

  • • Represent the organization at industry forums, regulatory bodies, and stakeholder platforms.
  • 3. Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • (Mechanical / Chemical / Metallurgy) – Preferred
  • MBA / PGDM

  • from a reputed institute – Highly Preferred
  • • Additional certifications in

  • Operations, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma are advantageous

    4. Desired Experience

    *20–30 years of experience in
    manufacturing / refractory / chemical industries**

  • • Minimum

  • 5–10 years in senior leadership roles
    (CEO / Business Head / COO)
  • • Proven experience in managing

  • medium-scale industrial organizations
  • • Strong track record in

  • operational turnaround, growth strategy execution, and profitability improvement
  • • Experience in handling

  • **multi-plant operations and geographically distributed teams
