Business Head/Chief Operating Officer/Chief Executive Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an exceptional senior leader to serve as Managing Director of our Indian subsidiary - a well-established, fast-growing operation in the Used Cooking Oil Collection Business, supplying biofeed stock and biofuel sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Operations:

- Assume full accountability for the P&L, operations, compliance, and performance of the Indian subsidiary

- Lead, motivate and develop a team of over multiple locations in India

- Establish and maintain a high-performance culture aligned with group values

- Ensure all statutory, regulatory and governance requirements under Indian law are met, including Companies Act obligations, GST, labour law, and sector-specific regulations

- Translate group strategy into locally executable plans, adapting for Indian business culture, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements

- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key government ministries - in particular the Ministry of Food & Safety and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy

- Lead efforts to secure, maintain and renew all required licences, permits and regulatory approvals for the company's operations across India

- Represent the company in policy discussions and industry forums; conduct appropriate lobbying activities to protect and advance the company's interests Commercial & Client Development

- Represent the company at senior level with key existing clients and strategic prospects

- Support business development efforts across the bio feedstock and biofuel value chain

- Build a strong external network across the industry, government bodies, and relevant trade associations Travel

- Regular domestic travel across India to operational sites, client locations, and government offices

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven track record as MD, CEO, or equivalent in a mid-to-large organisation ; Strong international experience / background

- Experience in energy, renewables, logistics agri-commodities or related sector strongly preferred

- Deep understanding of Indian regulatory and compliance landscape

- Experience working with or within a foreign-owned or multinational group

- Strong commercial acumen with P&L; ownership experience
