Role Overview:
You will be the Assistant Vice President of Compensation & Benefits and HR Operations, responsible for leading and governing the end-to-end Total Rewards, Payroll, and HR Operations ecosystem. Your role will involve ensuring seamless, compliant, and scalable people processes aligned with the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define compensation philosophy, salary structures, merit cycles, incentives, and benchmarking across 11 entities with 570+ employees and expats.• Oversee accurate and compliant payroll for 570+ employees, manage payroll budget, controls, audits, expat payroll, and Finance alignment.• Design and optimize insurance, retirement, gratuity, and welfare programs; lead vendor negotiations and claims governance.• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle, HRIS integrity, SOPs, controls, and process digitization.• Ensure statutory compliance across 8+ states and 15+ labor statutes; manage filings, audits, inspections, and documentation.• Deliver people cost analytics, dashboards, manpower forecasting, and execute annual capital increases.• Drive automation, system integration, and continuous improvement across C&B, payroll, and HR operations.• Act as a central liaison with leadership, Finance, Audit, Legal, regional/global teams, and external partners.• Lead and develop C&B, Payroll, and HR Operations teams; build capability, governance discipline, and service excellence.Qualification / Experience required:
• Qualification level required: Masters or equivalent level.• Technical skills required: Comp Strategy & Design, Incentive Programs, Benchmarking & Market Data, Merit & Budgeting, Payroll Operations, Employee Lifecycle, HRIS & Data.• Behavioral competencies required: Stakeholder Management, Influence & Executive Communication, People Leadership, Decision Quality & Judgment, Program/Change Management, Customer Orientation, Analytical Rigor, Integrity & Confidentiality, Resilience & Prioritization.• Language skills required: Proficient English- Written and Spoken.• Certification required: Compensation: WorldatWork (GRP), Aon/Mercer C&B programs. Optional - Payroll/Compliance: Indian Payroll Analytics/BI: Power BI & Advanced Excel.• Specific knowledge required: Executive & Expat Comp, Legal/Policy Literacy, Data Privacy & Security, Contracting, Statutory & Compliance (India, multi-state).• Level of experience required: MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA HR preferred. 15-20 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits; payroll/accounting exposure is an added advantage.
