Role Overview:
As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the company, your primary responsibility is to manage the brand and marketing strategy for Specsmakers. You will be instrumental in creating a brand ethos, from conducting customer dipsticks to executing media planning and brand storytelling. Your role involves aligning the brand's vision with the company's goals and vision to enhance brand recognition and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan encompassing strategies and execution, including quarterly marketing calendar campaigns focusing on brand, products, and categories.• Monitor brand metrics before and after marketing campaigns to evaluate effectiveness.• Optimize the marketing mix to maximize return on investment (ROI) and drive sales growth.• Enhance brand loyalty and foster repeat purchases among consumers.• Identify and implement the appropriate media mix to effectively target consumers.• Collaborate with the sales team and VP Sales to devise cohesive plans.• Craft compelling communications and messages for consumers.• Generate innovative marketing ideas to strengthen brand positioning.• Drive aggressive business growth from existing stores through ideation and execution aimed at increasing SSSG, NPS, repeat purchases, and customer loyalty.• Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, expand the customer base, explore growth opportunities, improve sales, develop product mix, and oversee the sales department.• Formulate sales strategies, implement initiatives to maximize business opportunities, increase market share, and achieve sales targets and KPIs.• Ensure sales goals are met by aligning sales forecasts and operations budgets.• Conduct competitor analysis to stay abreast of market trends and achieve market share metrics.• Strategize for regional business growth, identify future service opportunities and partnerships, and collaborate with the local team to achieve objectives.• Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, coaching, and development.Qualifications Required:
• 10 to 20 years of marketing experience, preferably in the consumer industry with expertise in brand creation.• Proficiency in digital marketing, omnichannel strategies, and digital customer acquisition.• Experience in digital-first companies and developing consumer acquisition strategies across different funnel stages.• Demonstrated leadership in managing sales teams and strong commercial acumen.• Excellent people management, coaching, customer relationship management, networking, and communication skills.• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.• Entrepreneurial mindset to drive business growth.
