As a Vice President of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams in developing cutting-edge software solutions using Java and AWS technologies. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Providing technical leadership and direction across all engineering functions• Architecting and overseeing the development of scalable Java-based applications hosted on AWS• Leading the design and implementation of modern cloud-native solutions using AWS services• Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing team of engineers• Collaborating with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely project delivery• Defining and implementing best practices for code quality, scalability, security, and reliability• Driving the adoption of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and DevOps practices• Monitoring technology trends for innovation and improvement• Owning the engineering roadmap and ensuring alignment with business goalsQualifications required for this role include:
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field• 12+ years of software development experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership/VP role• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and microservices architecture• Deep experience with AWS cloud platform and services• Proven experience managing large engineering teams and scaling technology platforms• Excellent understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native principles• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills• Experience in agile software development, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation practicesPreferred qualifications include AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) and experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
